Disseminating information about higher education
To meet the needs of various stakeholders, information about the state of the South African higher education system is provided on the Council on Higher Education (CHE) website, through its publications and Resource Centre, and at workshops and seminars.

    The CHE publishes reviews of higher education, the results of research undertaken, and papers for discussion. CHE publications are distributed free of charge by our Resource Centre and can be obtained from the librarian. Our publications include:
    • The Higher Education Monitor
    • Kagisano (higher education discussion series)

  3. Resource Centre
    The Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate maintains a Resource Centre that supports the information needs of the CHE and of researchers in higher education. Researchers who would like to make use of the resource center are welcome to contact the librarian.


  4. Workshops and seminars
    The Directorate runs workshops and seminars to announce research results and to invite comment on pertinent issues.

    CHE COLLOQUIUM: IMPROVING UNDERGRADUATE SUCCESS

    Improving success at the undergraduate level remains one of the key challenges in South African higher education. As part of our ongoing efforts to understand and improve students' success, the CHE invites you to participate in a colloquium, Improving undergraduate success, including a keynote address by Professor George Kuh, Chancellor's Professor of Higher Education and Director, Center for Postsecondary Research at Indiana University.
