Ms Rekha Bennideen joined the Council on Higher Education (CHE) in 2003. Before Rekha joined the CHE she worked at the Department of Transport as the Personal Assistant to the Director of Provincial Motor Transport in Pietermaritzburg. She also has six years of legal experience and fifteen years of administration experience.
She worked at two Private Higher Education Institutions in Durban as a Tutor and Personal Assistant.
Rekha has a Diploma in Business Computing and has completed various other short courses. She also completed an Advanced Diploma in Management Studies and is currently studying towards her Master in Business Administration (MBA) through the Management College of South Africa (MANCOSA). She has also studied Hindi and Sanskrit and has written the various India Board Examinations.
Rekha has worked in the various directorates of the CHE and is a dedicated, loyal, committed, dependable and competent individual who is always willing to assist her colleagues across the organization.
She enjoys participating in community work, writing on hindu culture, cooking and the outdoor life.
