Private higher education providers are required to be registered with the DHET, and to have all accredited programmes displayed on their registration certificates. At the end of each registration cycle the DHET requires from the HEQC a report on the accreditation status of the programmes of private providers.

Process for programme re-accreditation

All applications for re-accreditation must be submitted via the HEQC-online accreditation system. No hard-copy submissions will be accepted by the HEQC.

Details on Processing an application for re-accreditation are aligned to all other processing methodologies applied within the Directorate.
