The International Language and Development Conference returns to Sub-Saharan Africa for the second time since its inception in 1993. The 10th in the series will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 15-17 October 2013 at the Lagoon Beach Hotel.
The main theme will be 'Opportunity, Equity and Identity beyond 2015', divided into two key areas:
- Lessons, observations and themes developed from earlier Language and Development Conferences and how these relate to the MDGs
- The role of language in supporting development from 2015-2035
